The firm was founded in 2002 as Rockwood Asociados, then a subsidiary of Rockwood Real Estate Advisors in New York City.

The firm established a second office in Mexico City in 2004 from where it currently conducts most of its operations..

We adopted the Real Capital IM ("RCIM") name in 2011, after the management team completed a separation process from Rockwood Real Estate Advisors.

RCIM is now an autonomous entity controlled by its partners, and continues to provide services for all of Rockwood Asociados’ former clients.
