Mr. Arechederra joined the firm in 2002 at their NY office where he advised the Mexican government on the sale of the World Trade Center Convention Center and various private Mexican developers looking for foreign equity. In 2003 he moved to Mexico and opened the current RCIM office in Mexico City from where he currently manages some of the key relationships for the Lion Mexico Fund such as the Frisa JV (retail and industrial) and the low-income housing JV with Ruba.

Prior to joining RCIM, he served as Vice President with the Real Estate and Lodging Investment Banking Group at J.P. Morgan Securities, where he was involved in the marketing and execution of the group’s deals in Latin America. Mr. Arechederra’s experience while at J.P. Morgan included numerous M&A projects, bank syndications and $2.9 billion in synthetic leases, including a $350 million R/C for CalWest (CalPERS), a $1.1 billion synthetic lease for Nissan and a $100 million sell-side advisory of a national parking portfolio.

Mr. Arechederra is fluent in English and holds a B.S in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
